County-Wide Cleanups: April through May

Last year, over 3,500 volunteers throughout the county participated in the Great American Cleanup (GAC), an event that brings out over 4 million volunteers nationwide. Cleanup KiRBy, our mascot, does not like trash and will be popping up at littered sites throughout the county during the Great American Cleanup. Be on the lookout for him – and return him for a prize!!


School Bag-A-Thon

Engage in community service and earn money for your school! With a School Bag-A-Thon, students collect pledges from family and friends before getting out to participate in the Great American Cleanup. The funds raised go back to support the school! The Bag-A-Thon is an opportunity to engage students in service-learning that raises awareness about the environment and the importance of civic engagement.
