2016 Great American Cleanup
County-Wide Cleanups: April through May
Join the thousands of Rockland County residents who will remove tons of litter from our streets, parks and waterways and help make our communities cleaner, healthier and more beautiful. Last year, over 3,500 volunteers throughout the county participated in the Great American Cleanup (GAC), an event that brings out over 4 million volunteers nationwide. Be a part of the 2016 campaign! Online Registration Begins: February 15th
Interested in hosting a Community Cleanup Event?
These are terrific events where neighbors come together on the same day to gather supplies and tackle trash together. Community Cleanup Leaders help identify areas in their village/hamlet in need of a clean; reach out to local schools, civic/religious groups and businesses to find volunteers; and host a morning’s cleanup, providing guidance to volunteers along with supplies and refreshments. For more information, contact email@example.com or call (845) 708-9164.
